New presbyopia treatment – eye drops for blurry close-up vision

Struggling with blurry close-up vision? YUVEZZI can help

As our eyes age, close-up vision can become blurry, a condition called presbyopia. Simple things like reading, texting, or just checking a label at the store may become harder.

Get up to 8 hours of sharp, close-up vision*

In medical studies:

  • As soon as 30 minutes after taking YUVEZZI, some could clearly read at least 3 more lines on an eye chart in low light without losing distance vision

  • Presbyopia can make you squint or strain your eyes to see close up. This may slow down how fast you read. People using YUVEZZI had 6x greater improvement in reading vs those who did not receive YUVEZZI††

*If you wear contact lenses, remove them before using YUVEZZI. Wait at least 10 minutes after using YUVEZZI before you put them back in your eyes.

Instead of surgery for presbyopia, such as lens implants, YUVEZZI prescription eye drops are a less invasive step you can take.

Once a day, presbyopia eye drops

It's as easy as one and done. Just one drop per eye, once a day, and you’re good for up to 8 hours of sharp, close-up vision.

About half of people in medical studies could read close up at hour 8.

How YUVEZZI works

YUVEZZI eye drops combine two proven medicines that work together to improve close-up vision:

Step 1
Carbachol helps your pupils get smaller (or “constrict”), making it easier to focus up close
Step 2
Brimonidine tartrate helps keep your pupils from getting too large (or “dilating”)

Both active ingredients in YUVEZZI have been trusted to treat other common eye conditions for nearly 30 years.

In medical studies, the safety of YUVEZZI was evaluated ~2x longer than other presbyopia eye drops

  • In 358 patients, the most common side effects were headache (16%), impaired vision (6%), and temporary eye pain (7%) or irritation (14%)
  • People taking YUVEZZI had no treatment related serious side effects in a 1-year safety study
  • Most side effects were generally mild, didn’t last long, and went away on their own
