Carmin: I have been very blessed my entire life never to have had any sort of vision issues. I've never had to use contacts. I've never had to use eyeglasses.
Carmin: When I hit my 40s, one day, I noticed that the letters on the recipes that I was reading in the book was a little bit blurry. And I go annually for an eye checkup, and they told me, “Well, you could start wearing readers.” And they initially said to wear a .5 or 1.0 and I could get it over the counter.
Carmin: So, at that time, it was just like, “Well, I’m getting older. It’s time for eyeglasses.” And it was this feeling of defeat, that you’re joining everybody else. Now I'm having to put glasses on, just to get me to do the same task that I used to do my entire life. When I go from looking at the computer screen at work, or I'm in a meeting, I'm sitting here sometimes just putting the glasses right at the tip of my nose so I can look down and look up.
Carmin: A few months ago, a really good friend of mine and I went to a restaurant because we wanted to have a girls night out, and in the restaurants we're both sitting there in the booth with our eyeglasses on and our cell phone lights on the menu. It definitely makes you feel your age.
Carmin: When I started using the YUVEZZI eyedrops, I noticed that I didn't have to go to the light. I did not have to squint to see things
Carmin: I did not have to hold things way out from my face so that it wasn't as blurry.
Carmin: Some of those small tasks that I used to have friends and coworkers asking me to do untangle necklaces, untangle bracelets. I could do that without a problem.
Carmin: Reading the fine print on commercials or in restaurants, on the menus, all of those things were easy.
Carmin: With the eyedrops, I was able to go about my normal day basis.
Carmin: I was able to see and do and not have to have extra light, and not have to have the readers. I didn’t need them while I was on YUVEZZI.
Carmin: I'm sharing my personal experience with YUVEZZI eye drops. Others might experience different things. I know the clinic, when I first started it, told me that I might experience headaches, eye pain, some darkness, dimness, impaired vision, blurriness.
Carmin: Thankfully, I was very happy that they told me about these possible side effects but I did not experience any of these.
Carmin: Now that YUVEZZI has been approved, I can’t wait to talk to my doctor about it.
Carmin: I would like to thank Tenpoint Therapeutics for sponsoring me while I share my testimonial
